Lord Arbuthnot of Edrom will give evidence today at the Post Office inquiry along with a former Court of Appeal Judge. The Tory peer, who backed Alan Bates and other sub-postmasters in their fight for justice, was portrayed in the ITV drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office. More than 900 sub-postmasters were wrongfully prosecuted after faulty Horizon software produced fictional shortfalls on their accounts.
