Moorings Park Osprey Live Stream Naples, FL Now in 4K

Welcome to our YouTube channel! We are happy to share our Osprey Nest and Osprey Pair, Harry and Sally, located at Moorings Park, Naples, Florida. Please don’t forget to like and subscribe. Based on our observations, this is the fifth year for Harry and Sally raising a family at Moorings Park. At about seven years of age, they are experienced parents: Harry is a good fisherman; Sally a caring and cautious Mom. Over the last four years, they have raised 3-2-3-2 offsprings; including Abby and Victor last year - both born on 3/3/2023, about 18-1/2 hours apart. As of 3/23/2024, two chicks have emerged from three eggs: It appears that one of the eggs was not fertilized. Accordingly, the Osprey Tracker’s Team has named the 2024 first-born chick “Ruffie“ and the 2024 second-born “Tuffy.“ Moorings Park is a premier Continuous Care Retirement Community serving around 1,200 Residents on three Campuses located in Naples, Florida. Residents are offered upscale residences and dining services, comprehensive physician services, state of the art fitness centers and engaging social activities, all to promote successful aging. THE OSPREY POLE: In 2009, during a renovation project at the Naples Country Club (Hole in the Wall) a large pine tree became available. It was trimmed, treated and installed at Moorings Park between a lake and the 7th hole of the Naples Country Club. The tree trunk was 45 feet long, and 14 inches in diameter at the base. THE OSPREY NEST: A 4x4 foot Platform is mounted at 41 feet elevation, providing the Nest for Harry, Sally and their offspring. THE CAMERAS: Two cameras, one a spare, are mounted at 46 feet elevation, angled downward 40- degrees into the nest. A third (ambiance) camera is mounted on top of an eight-story residential tower, 145-yards from the nest. It is used, occasionally, to provide a larger aerial view. We have developed a picture-in-picture System to show actions from both positions simultaneously. THE TECHNOLOGY: Since it was cost-prohibitive to install power and internet at the Pole, we chose to install two 100W, 12V Solar Panels, and one 100AH Battery for power generation and storage. This enables 24/7 live-streaming to Osprey Fans, worldwide. The Audio/Visual signals are transmitted, via a Wi-Fi Bridge, to a Receiver on the eight-story Residential Tower 145-yards away. MOORINGS PARK OSPREY TRACKERS: A group of seven retired resident-volunteers created the Osprey Nest Cam idea, did the planning and design, raised the necessary funds, purchased, manufactured, installed, and now maintain the equipment. The Moorings Park IT-Department provides invaluable technical-support integrating the live-stream into Moorings Park’s Hotwire Network and UTube for worldwide viewing. Please enjoy, share, and subscribe to stay updated on the exciting developments at Harry and Sally“s nest. If you have any questions, please contact ospreymoorings@
