1990 Champion Spark Plug 400 (ESPN Classic Version) Michigan International Speedway August 19, 1990 A week after road racing at Watkins Glen, the NASCAR Winston Cup teams tackle the two-mile high-speed oval at Michigan International Speedway. The field was racing the rain, but the race did run to its completion. This race was noted as one of Greg Sacks’ best runs of his Cup career, substituting for an injured Darrell Waltrip.
