Conservation of 6 species of snails from Canarias | Loro Parque Fundación

🇮🇨 Loro Parque Fundación and University of La Laguna, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands and the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, brought together international experts this week to protect critically endangered species in Tenerife and the Canary Islands. Thanks to the event, 6 species of critically endangered land snails in the Canary archipelago have been examined. ➡️ The goal: to include the “chuchangas“ in the catalog of protected species and to ensure their preservation with concrete measures. 🗨️ “In the next few years we will be able to reverse the situation of endemic species unique in Tenerife,“ says Javier Almunia, director of Loro Parque Fundación.
