Turkish Gaziantep was one of the cities affected by the February 6 earthquake. And last night, another natural disaster hit Gaziantep and neighboring Kilis. A severe thunderstorm with rain and hail raged in the cities. The governor of Gaziantep said the result was the largest amount of rainfall in the history of the city. During the day, precipitation of 92 millimeters per square meter fell. The streets were literally white with hail. Some roads were flooded. The water level in the river that runs through the center of the city has also risen. Local public institutions and organizations have mobilized their resources. Search and rescue operations were carried out with the participation of more than 4,000 people. 45 people were rescued from dangerous areas.
