UK stops ‘gender-affirming treadmill’ with puberty blockers ban: Dr Andrew Amos

Academic psychiatrist Dr Andrew Amos says the UK’s National Health Service banning puberty blockers for minors will “interrupt the gender-affirming treadmill.” The UK’s decision to ban gender identity clinics from giving puberty blockers to children follows a damning review by Dr Hilary Cass on gender identity services for children which posed shocking results. “I think the decision to ban puberty blockers in England will turn out to be crucial in England, but also in Australia,” Mr Amos told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “It’s obviously good news for English kids who will no longer be put at risk of serious physical and psychological harms. “Even more important it will interrupt the gender-affirming treadmill.”
