Furthermore it has a message headed by a movement which foundation was laid by His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I’s arguebly most famous speech, held at the UN on October 4th, 1963, warning us “(…) Here in this assembly reposes the best, perhaps the last hope for the peaceful survival of mankind. (...)“. This same speech was used by Bob Marley for his famous 1976 song “War“ (“until the philosophy…“) which was released on his album “Rastaman Vibration“. Considering it’s date, 60 years ago, this bold statement, comes with a frighteningly precise correspondence to current events. Not just some artists united, it’s a movement! The inspiration for this song was born out the realisation of the absolute need to heed to such crucial warning. Initially, “Mankind’s Last Hope“ is the title of a book by Ras Elijah Tafari, explaining the consequently ultimate demand to “Reform the United Nations Now!“ Starting with the original audio recording of Haile Selassie I speech before the UN, the song then features vocals skills of the above named internationally acclaimed Reggae Artists Label: RUNN Music The song starts with the words of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I: “Mr. President, distinguished delegates.
