World Without Love (Guitar instrumental)

I had just turned 17 years of age in 1964 when this record was released. I met and fell in love with a girl named Janet. We would play this song most evenings. About 6 months down the line she “went off“ with my best friend. I was devastated. Some 35 years later i saw them in a shopping mall. A rather large, overweight woman and a sad looking guy! So perhaps every cloud does have a silver lining! “A World Without Love“ is a song recorded by the English duo Peter and Gordon and released as their first single in February 1964. It was included on the duo’s debut album in the UK, and in the US on an album of the same name. The song was written by Paul McCartney and attributed to Lennon–McCartney. In 1999 The Mavericks recorded a version, on which i have losely based mine.
