Russia unleashed its biggest air attack of the war on Ukraine on December 29, killing 31 civilians and wounding more than 160 others. Ukrainian air force said it shot down 87 cruise missiles and 27 drones of a total 158 aerial “targets“ fired by Russia. US President Biden called Russia’s latest missile barrage on Ukraine a “stark reminder“ that Moscow remained committed to destroying Ukraine and Putin “must be stopped“.
