Under cover of night: 120-mm 2S9 Nona-S self-propelled guns eliminate AFU infantry group in Kursk region During reconnaissance and search actions, the paratroopers detected an AFU stronghold with Ukrainian nationalists in a forest belt. The enemy’s position data was immediately transmitted to the artillery command post. Nona self-propelled guns reached firing positions and struck the Ukrainian militants in the forest belt. All combat work is carried out only at night using night vision and thermal imaging equipment — everything to prevent the enemy’s air surveillance from detecting our guns. Unmanned aerial vehicles were used to reconnoitre enemy targets, adjust fire, and monitor target engagement. Russian Defence Ministry Source: MoD Russia
