FALLEN ANGEL | Wings of Fire Prince Arctic Animatic

WARNING: Slight gore/Implications of murder/death. -------- This animatic tells the story of Prince Arctic, a dragon who, trapped in a miserable situation, risks it all for a better life with the dragon he loves. Unfortunately, the life he chooses is filled with as much pain and trauma as the last, with the only thing keeping him going being the thin trail of love he has for Foeslayer and his daughter, Whiteout. When Foeslayer is captured by the Icewings, Arctic once again risks it all in a desperate move to regain everything he lost. Arctic is arguably my favorite Wings of Fire character. The contrast between the dragon he could have been with the dragon he became is interesting to analyze and also, really sad. I made this animatic because 1) the song is a bop and 2) I wanted to paint him in a different light than he is often represented in the fandom. We can see him as a dragon who did bad things, but who’s actions were understandable, albeit misguided.
