A Polymer Clay Tutorial: Mid-Century Modern Concave Discs with Painted Rings
This class was originally planned to be included in the first Mid Century Modern Overlapping Discs necklace but due to the length, that just didn’t seem practical. The colors have been lifted from the same color chart (link below).

Clay - Use a STRONG clay such as Kato Polyclay:
The following in 1 ounce quantities will be fine: Brown, Orange, Red, Turquoise, Ultra Blue, Green. Magenta, Violet.
2 ounces of Yellow
6 ounces white
4 ounces black
Materials and Tools:
Cutters - nylon (Fat Daddio’s) preferred (Not: sizes approximate):
To cut discs: 2”. 1 1/4”. 5/8” (5cm, 3cm, )
For painted rings: 1 5/8”, 1 1/4”, 3/4”, 1/2”, (4cm, 3cm, 2cm, 1 cm)
Acrylic craft paint - White. I use Decoart Americana but most any inexpensive craft paint will do.
