The Happenings Four is a Japanese group sounds band. They stand out as a keyboard-based, guitar-less GS band, and in their later years developed a progressive approach. He is also regarded as a pioneer of Japanese progressive rock. The group disbanded in 1972, but was restarted in 2001. overview The Latin rock band ``Sunrise’’ was formed in 1964 in Hakata, Fukuoka City by brothers Kuni and Tito Kawachi. In 1966, he was scouted by Mickey Curtis and moved to Tokyo, where he performed in nightclubs and cabarets. In 1967, they changed their name to “The Happenings Four“ by Toshiro Mayuzumi and others, and debuted with the single “Anata ga Want“ in November of the same year. In 1969, keyboardist Shino Shinohara (Nobuhiko Shinohara) joined the group, making it a five-member group. Although they continued their activities with the slogan “W Keyboard“, they disbanded in 1972. On December 28, 2001, all four members except Shinohara reunited as a band and held their first live performance in Kobe in about 30 years.
