Tony Iommi is synonymous with heavy rock; his innovative, de-tuned, dark riffs are considered to be the blueprint for hundreds of bands that followed. This suitably heavy tome is a celebration of one of music’s most innovative guitarists and, as Ozzy notes in his exclusive epilogue, “If someone asked me, who was the leader of Black Sabbath, it’d have to be Tony, wouldn’t it? We all contributed, of course, but without Tony’s riffs, we wouldn’t have had a chance”. The book is a compendium of carefully selected images compiled from all eras of Tony’s career, many from Ross Halfin’s own archive, and the book also features further exclusive written contributions from some of music’s leading talents and friends of Tony. These include Sir Brian May, James Hetfield, and Phil Anselmo.
