How to Import an HTML Email Template to Klaviyo

Email builder: Article: Hello and welcome to the Postcards app! In this tutorial video, I’ll demonstrate how simple it is to import your email template into your Klaviyo account. To get started, I’ll open the newsletter that I aim to import In this instance, I’ll select the second newsletter listed, double-clicking to open it. This action opens up the email template for customization. Once I’ve tailored the newsletter to my liking, I’ll hover over the ’Export’ option at the top right, click on it, and then click on ’Integrations’. This will prompt a pop-up window showcasing various one-click integration options. For this tutorial, we’ll proceed with Klaviyo. I’ll click on the Klaviyo option, opening up another pop-up window requesting our API key to connect to the Klaviyo account. Notably, there’s a hyperlink labeled ’API key’ that, when clicked, redirects us to the pertinent page within our Klaviyo account—assuming you’re logged in. If not logged in, you’ll be prompted to do so; afterward, you’ll be redirected to the API keys page. Inside the API keys section, under our private API keys, we’ll create a new API key, naming it ’Postcards’. For the access level, we’ll grant ’Full Access’, then click ’Create’ at the top right. This action will generate our private API key, which we can copy before heading back to Postcards to paste in the API key field. Though naming the integration is optional, it’s a useful reference. After naming, click on ’Connect’. A successful connection confirms the template’s import into Klaviyo. A hyperlink labeled ’Klaviyo Templates’ will appear; clicking it redirects back to Klaviyo, displaying our templates, including the newly imported one, named ’Newsletter One’. Opening it, we see it mirrors the customized version from Postcards, ready for further editing if desired, and integration into our Klaviyo emails. Importing your email templates into your Klaviyo account using our one-click integration solution is indeed straightforward. Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video!
