Clashes erupted as hundreds of Mapuche Indigenous people and sympathizers took part in a day of resistance and autonomy for Indigenous people in Santiago, marking 532 years since Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas, aka The Day of the Meeting of Two Worlds.
