Bullfrog Serenade

This Bullfrog video features the low and resonant “rum, rum, jug-o-rum“ calls of the maloe, along with aggressive “spits“ given when other males venture too close. I gathered the footage on June 3, 2010 at a pond in the Finger Lakes National Forest near Ithaca, New York. Enjoy! © 2010 Lang Elliott
