The Seventh Skol

A little animation exercise for - that got out of hand and turned into a mini-film. I had a simple idea using my existing skeleton puppet, but it took me 2 minutes (or 5 weeks of work) to get to that shot. It’s the 14th Century, and Antonius Block returns from the crusades to find Europe in the grip of the Black Death.... Ok, so far Ingmar Bergman had that covered. But this time, he challenges Death to a drinking contest instead of a chess game, figuring the odds might be a bit better. So here’s the full version of my fanboy tribute film / blatant rip-off / affectionate parody .
