1991 Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage TV segment from Disney World Xmas Parade

This segment from the televised 1991 Walt Disney World Very Merry Christmas Parade highlights the just-opened Beauty and the Beast stage show at Disney-MGM Studios. The show opened on November 22 1991, the same day as the movie, and is still running (in a revised version) today. This show marks the first time Disney’s Beauty and the Beast ever appeared on stage. While most of the show is prerecorded with the original movie voices, Belle and Gaston speak and sing live. Belle is played here by Trudie Petersen, and Gaston by Galen Fott (me).
