NGO: “Tranquility“ Ambient / Drone / Soundscape Machine (Strymon Timeline, Meris Hedra, CBA Blooper)

As you might already know NGO is a unique instrument that was made for me by a friend of mine Viktor Sherbatyuk. Viktor was so kind to spend his time and efforts to put my crzy ideas together and make them real. NGO was constructed for playing Slow Music… it’s really difficult to play fast and I like it! The less the better! The idea behind this instrument was to have 1 bass string with a long scale and 3 strings with a scale of an electric guitar. 3 pickups – two Piezo and one Humbacker. NGO has no neck and frets, the strings are set high above the body so I can easily vibrate them in a wide range. The volume swells are played with Morley Volume PRO pedal. I add pitch-shifted notes with Meris Hedra (-1 octave) and Chase Bliss Audio Blooper ( 1 octave) when needed. Hedra is for low drone pad and Blooper is for melody and textures. I use two delays: Strymon Volante for ordinary delay line and Strymon Timeline as a Frippertronics. Meris Polymoon works in my favorite textural mode: Dimensions to 100%. You can
