Niall Horan says new album ’The Show,’ written during pandemic, a metaphor for life

Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan, former member of ‘One Direction,’ has returned with his third studio album “The Show.” Horan wrote the album during the peak of the pandemic as countries around the world remained under lockdown. He says the time in isolation allowed him to think bigger rather than focusing on isolated moments in his life. “I wrote the title track at home, during the lockdown, when we were fully locked away, and realized that the whole thing was a bit of a metaphor for life and the world at the time – what was going on,” he said. Horan also spoke to The Morning Show hosts Jeff McArthur and Carolyn MacKenzie about his new gig as a coach on “The Voice” and his relationship with his former ‘One Direction’ bandmates.
