Many artists stayed there after the Second World War and brought an international reputation to the , the Maeght Foundation maintains the artistic vocation of the place. It is certainly the most visited village in the hinterland of Nice and even one of the most touristic in France. The fortified village of St Paul de Vence is only takes a few minutes to cross the village from side to side but you can spend a few hours there discovering the fantastic views of the ramparts, the architecture of the houses, the squares, the amazing art galleries and the few charming village perched between the Col de Vence and the Mediterranean offers magnificent panoramas to its visitors.
