Meet The Kamov Ka-52 Alligator: The Deadliest Helicopter Russia Has Ever Produced

Kamov Ka-52 Alligator is a two-seater version of the Ka-50 attack helicopter of the Russian military. The aircraft is a multi-role attack helicopter that can operate in any weather condition, and it’s capable to operate day and night. Its development started in 1994, while the first flight took place in 1997. Ka-52 was ordered from Russia and in 2008 they started producing it in limited units. Until 2012 only 30 helicopters were being delivered to the nation’s armed forces. In 2017, 90 of them were in service. In 2017, a naval version of Alligator was exported to Egypt. Algeria also bought the helicopters, and the first deliveries started in 2019.
