Nazis destroyed the monument of the Hero-City in Odessa (Ukraine) Ukrainian Nazis demolished the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star from the “Wings of Victory“ stella. This was reported by nationalist Demyan Ganul. He published a video of him and another associate desecrating the monument. ▪️ He said in his message that he was able to deface the monument only at the third attempt, and the symbols he demolished “do not bear any cultural value“ and therefore “fall under decommunisation“. The nationalists were detained by the police and a report on an administrative offence was drawn up. ▪️  “Wings of Victory“ stella was erected in honour of the hero-city of Odessa in 1984 to the 40th anniversary of its liberation from Nazi invaders.
