THE TORNADOES - “Bustin’ Surfboards“ (6/14/13)

A video of the legendary Redlands surf-rock band THE TORNADOES recorded on June 14, 2013 as they performed “Bustin’ Surfboards“ in downtown Redlands, California (Left to right) JESSE SAUNDERS (guitar / original member), (Unknown young aspiring TORNADO), ROLY SAUNDERS (guitar / original member), GREG ECKLER (drums), MIKE GOOCH (guitar), JOEL WILLENBRING (sax), GERALD SAUNDERS (bass / original member). This instrumental was a 1962 #1 hit in the Inland Empire. The song was later used in the 1994 film “Pulp Fiction“ by producer / director Quentin Tarantino. Its use in the film resulted in THE TORNADOES receiving a Platinum Record award for its appearance in the CD soundtrack of “Pulp Fiction“. THE TORNADOES were inducted into the Inland Empire Musicians Hall of Fame in 2009.
