Flood warnings activated across the UK

Parts of England are facing a widespread flood emergency after days of relentless rain. Nottinghamshire County Council has declared a major incident as water levels on the river Trent continue to rise. The UK’s Met Office has issued a cold weather alert ahead of ice, fog, and frost across much of the country. River levels in the Trent are at a 20-year high. Many houses and businesses have been inundated with flood water.
