Adeline | Finding Her Groove with Nightshade

Adeline’s work as a bassist, vocalist, and producer has taken her from her hometown of Paris to her home-base in Brooklyn. Known for her infectious grooves and smooth vocals, Adeline’s releases blend a variety of influences from neo-soul to funk to R&B. Her latest EP, Intérimes, is produced by Nightshade, a production duo which she formed with Morgan Wiley. In this interview, the two of them give us a tour of their studio and deconstruct the track “Middle“ to show off the unique ways the bass informs the vocal melody and concept of the song.
