Sweet Grass baskets from South Carolina

Created on December 19, 2010 using FlipShare. We found an artisan market place in Charleston, SC where we saw some vendors whowere making sweet grass baskets at their stands. They get their sweet grass from the marshes outside the city, and wrap palmetto strands around the bunches of sweet grass. They use pine needles for the dark brown color. This video includes two basket weavers.
