1936 VOYAGE AROUND CAPE HORN BY SCHOONER WANDERBIRD 31014

Produced in 1936, this wonderful old film shows a voyage aboard a schooner named Wanderbird around South America. The captain of this vessel is Warwick M. Tompkins of Gloucester, Massachusetts, who later wrote a book about the journey entitled “50 South to 50 South“. For decades, the book has inspired many to seek out their own nautical adventures.
