Behind The Magic Of Hocus Pocus 2

Disney Plus is bringing us a brand new installment of Hocus Pocus! Hocus Pocus 2 gives us our veteran cast, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sisters, as well as, Lilia Buckingham, Whitney Peak, and Belissa Escobedo to star alongside them. We also get two brand new musical numbers, heavily influenced by our three witches, and some fabulous guest stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race to perform with them! Did you know that Bette Midler is a major part of the reason behind the sequel being made? It all started with her wanting to wear her old Winnie costume from 1993, but Disney was unable to lend it to her, so she checked on eBay. She was astounded at how many Hocus Pocus costumes, memorabilia, and other pieces of merchandise were for sale because when the film came out almost thirty years ago, it was considered a box office flop. As she noticed though, how it had actually become a Halloween cult classic, she would call up the studio every year! That’s dedication. Bette
