« there’s just too much that time cannot erase » They went through so many terrible things during their time in the tvdu, both long before they met and while they were together. I’m just happy that they made it out alive and happily married, to be quite honest. The one thing I’ve always admired about their relationship is the way they always put the other first and fought for each other when no one else did or would. To me, that is why they work and were so compatible together - because they both knew what it was like to be the outsider, the scapegoat, the one easily sacrificed by their loved ones if the situation called for it - and I loved that they recognized that “kindredness“ in the other and naturally gravitated into a healthy, loving, unconditional relationship where it was entirely selfless on both their parts. I hate most of where the tvdu ships ended up, but to me, they are the outlier that, despite all the pain it took for them to get there, the journey was ultimate
