Sacred Geometry - Exploring its Archetypal Language and Origins

The blueprints of the universe from 1-12. This is a introductory lecture given by Professor Paul Monson for the initial design studio course at Utah Valley University, ARC1010. Monson is also the president of the ICAA Utah Chapter. The lecture summarizes and synthesizes knowledge observed in the natural world and written/talked about by many other authors, including: Michael Schneider: A Beginner’s Guide to Constructing the Universe Steve Bass: Beauty Memory Unity: A Theory of Proportion in Architecture Miranda Lundy et al: Quadrivium: The Four Classical Liberal Arts of Number, Geometry, Music and Cosmology Joseph Brickey Lisa DeLong and many others... These ideas are not original to the author of this video, nor to the authors listed above. They are intended as basic concepts and tools to help designers create things that resonate with the universe and with the human soul.
