Angry fans chant for refunds as Messi sits out game in Hong Kong

Thousands of Hong Kong football fans have been left disappointed after superstar Lionel Messi did not play in a pre-season game. Fans attended the game to see Messi play with his team Inter Miami in a pre-season friendly against Hong Kong. It’s the team’s first international tour. When Messi continued to remain on the bench, a crowd of around 40,000 fans began chanting for refunds. The Hong Kong government reportedly hoped the event would benefit the region.
