Little Switzerland (1960)

C/U of a girl standing by a garden wall in Scotland, surrounded by snow and putting on her skis. M/Ss as her father comes out of the house looking at his watch, helps her to put her satchel on her back, and waves goodbye to her as she sets off to school; we pan with her as she skis down the street. She meets a friend at the bottom of a hill and they ski off together past a row of gothic-looking houses. It looks like a bright, clear day. Nice M/S of a group of children skiing down a snow-covered street towards the camera; we pan right with them to see another group of children coming down an adjoining street to meet them, then pan right again as they all ski past a small petrol station (sign says ’Vauxhall Shaw Brothers Bedford’). M/Ss as they ski along the street; there are large amounts of snow cleared to the sides of the streets. M/S of the school, panning left to show children arriving at the gates; C/U as they take off their skis and stack them against the wall then M/S as they run through the
