The Spectacular Lava Spire Hraundrangi in Iceland - Unique Drone View

Hraundrangi is a Lava Spire which reflects the geological history of Iceland trough the exposed lava layers since the original mountain came crashing down in a large rockslide many centuries ago and left us with this beautiful formation between the valleys Hörgárdalur and Öxnadalur. Hraundrangi rises to 1,075 metres (3,527 ft) above sea level and it looks the best from Iceland’s highway number 1 trough Öxnadalur valley which is 20-30 minutes away from Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland. Full Akureyri video here: Until 1956 the peak was considered unclimbable but it takes around 7-9 hours and only for skilled climbers. Link to a climbing video to Hraundrangi: This is a journey to the top is hopefully not juts for geology enthusiasts since it’s will be in my “nature chill “playlist for and it can be quite calming and relaxing to enjoy Icelandic nature with appropriate music so check my growing collection.
