This is the winning entry in the Children’s Choir / High Voices category of our New Music Prize, 2020-21. It’s by Jeremy Beck, a distinguished composer, teacher, and also lawyer, who is based in Kentucky. He chose to set this beautiful text by Paul Laurence Dunbar.
