The UK death toll from coronavirus has passed 100,000, according to government figures. A total of 100,162 people have died in the UK within 28 days of a positive Covid test since the start of the pandemic. The daily number of deaths was 1,631 - this is higher than yesterday’s figures when 592 deaths and 22,195 cases were recorded.
