The Handwork of the Sword: Striking, Covering, Binding, and Striking

This is another installation of the Posta Perspective where we look at the shapes and postures of the bind and covers my interpretation of what Fiore means when he discusses his four usages of the sword. This video focuses how bind work and structure on the sword change based upon the way in which the sword aligns with another. This reinforces my theory that Fiore is never not wrestling and that the arms in which we take up just change the hand. Here are more videos relative to this study: Again, a special thanks to one of my lead instructors Connor Neagle for working with me initially on this project. Your control and understanding of safety were instrumental in this production.
