Teens Behind Bars - A Look Back at Ricky’s Story & What Happened Years Later

From our archive: Elsewhere on our channel we’ve featured interviews with teenager Ricky during his time in juvenile detention back in 2009. Ricky was in detention on a bench warrant and had spent a lot of time behind bars as a young kid. In this video, we piece together Ricky’s whole story from the time he arrived at the Lake County Juvenile Detention Center until the day he went before the judge to learn if he would finally be released from lockup. During our time with Ricky, he was very candid and honest about the issues that landed him behind bars in the past: gang activity and getting in with the wrong crowd as a youngster.
