Israel’s Security Policy in a Changing Middle East

In the tumultuous Middle East, Lebanese are invading Syria, the Assad regime is calling on Turkey’s leader to resign, and more than two years after Mubarak’s ouster, Egypt once again finds itself in a constitutional void. Amid this chaos, the direction of regional change is ominous, as Iran may be poised for a strategic victory in Syria while the “moderate“ camp sputters on issues of war and peace. These and other factors have left Israel with an especially complex and volatile security environment.
