Nixon, 57, who ran for the Democratic nomination for governor of New York in 2018, appeared for two days before returning for work commitments. Two state representatives, Madinah Wilson-Anton, of Delaware, and Zohran Mamdani, of New York, planned to remain for five days along with half a dozen unnamed participants as temperatures plunged below 0C last night. “There’s been so such momentum building to stop the bombing, to stop the killing in Gaza all across this country and in so many countries across the world and we wanted to make sure people did not lose sight of it,” said Nixon, who has two sons with Danny Mozes, her Jewish ex-husband.
