#NTUsg scientists create hair-thin semiconductor fibres that can be woven into fabrics
Imagine having a smart beanie that can guide the visually impaired to walk safely, or a smartwatch that can track your heart rate from the strap itself. Thanks to scientists from #NTUsg, we are one step closer to this reality.
The scientists have successfully fabricated ultra-thin, defect-free fibres spanning 100 metres. These fibres can be woven into fabrics to create #wearable technologies.
