Russia aims to DOUBLE its population in 50 years. It’s been a challenge, with an average of 1.4 children per woman, which is below the replacement rate of 2.1. Baby bonuses are going up in 2024 - the lump sums need to be judged in accordance with local salaries; 65k rubles p/m is the Russian average, higher in Moscow (roughly 100k p/m). So roughly a year’s salary is a significant amount. In the past, the government supported only a 2nd and 3rd child per family.
