Italian island overwhelmed by influx of migrants

GB News host Patrick Christy says the arrival of thousands of migrants on the Italian island of Lampedusa could change Europe forever ever if something isn’t done soon. A small island in the Mediterranean Lampedusa, has been overwhelmed with thousands of migrants arriving on boats from Tunisia. Nearly 126,000 migrants have been reported to have arrived in Italy this year, almost doubling the figure in 2022. “Italy is the gateway into Europe for a lot of people coming from Africa but there’s no question about it Britain is the final destination,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “The European Union and Italy has a very clear choice to make you can either leave these men on this rock in a detention centre and then deport them back to Africa. “Or you can fly them from that rock into mainland Europe deliberately allow them to roam across the content live wherever they want and possibly end up in Britain. “And a lot of people are scratching their heads and going why on earth would you do the latter because if you do because if you do that, that is an absolute open invitation for anyone in Africa to want to come to Europe.”
