Scarborough Fair is an old English folk song made famous around the world by Simon and Garfunkel. Apparently Paul Simon heard it from Martin Carthy who, in turn, found it in a songbook called “The Singing Island“ compiled by Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger, and they learned it from Mark Anderson, a retired miner from County Durham... Now I’m taking this well-travelled song in a direction of my own.
