During a segment on her CNN show host Erin Burnett asked Surgeon General Vivek Murthy about Anthony Fauci’s recent statements downplaying masks’ effectiveness in combating the spread of COVID. Murthy admitted that Fauci’s statements contradicted early directives regarding masks, but only because new information had come to light. But there was no new information — they knew all along that masks didn’t stop the spread of COVID.
