If you’re interested in taking a trip like this or have any questions, please reach out in the comment section below! This is Day 4 of 12, please watch all videos of the 12 day trip! Day 4 started at The Highlands Camp with coffee brought to our room bright and early. We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast while watching the sunrise. On this day, we are going on a hike to the Empakaai Crater. Before starting our hike, we stopped to see the Oldoinyo Lengai Volcano. This is Tanzania’s most active volcano. On our hike down to the crater, we learned all about the fig trees and how they grow around other trees, eventually killing the other tree. Once we made it to the crater floor, we saw lots of birds, Flamingos, Bush Bucks and Baboons. We were treated to a beautiful picnic and sat while enjoying the views. We made the hike back up to the top of the crater and headed back to the Highlands Camp. We were greeted with so much energy and headed to a late lunch. After that, the staff prepared the jacuzzi in the HoneyMoon Suite for us to celebrate our HoneyMoon. We had such an amazing time relaxing in the jacuzzi while listening to nature and overlooking the mountatins. After that, we took a nap in our tent before heading to our last dinner at The Highlands Camp. At dinner, the entire staff put on a special celebration for Zoe and I to celebrate our HoneyMoon. This celebration was filled with so much fun and love, it really took a toll on our emotions. Zoe and I will forever be grateful for everyone we met at The Highlands Camp. The experience there was beyond fantastic and we would highly recommend a stay there to anyone interested. We will cherish the memories made there forever.
