Thank you :) Václav Talich belongs to the very closed circle of legendary conductors. Václav Talich has left his mark on the personality of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra with his untiring demands. He has undoubtedly enabled this orchestra to get through difficult periods in its existence and in Czech history and to preserve its future. He was able to give the orchestra a personality and an artistic maturity that are still perceptible today, and to make it an orchestra of a very high level and with a unique personality. In his work as a conductor, he used his experience as a chamber musician, his musical intuition, his inexhaustible energy, sometimes reacting impulsively (his tantrums were feared...), constantly paying attention to the quality of the phrasing and sound colours of each of the orchestra’s sections, to the precision of the nuances, to the intensity of the dynamics, studying the works alone and rehearsing them for a long time before performing them in concert or recording them. His conducting fascinated not only the orchestra but also the concert audience. Dvořák - Slavonic Dances Op. 46 & 72 (reference rec.: Václav Talich, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra):
