National Museum of Ras Al-Khaimah emirate in UAE

A bit of historical dates and facts in this region: - Iron Age (1500 B.C.) The falaj irrigation system was developed and the camel🐪 domesticated. Al Falaj, the Arabic term used to describe the water channels commonly found across the Arabian Peninsula, once stretched across the UAE. A falaj gets its water from underground sources like wells or wadis (valleys). It doesn’t use machines to extract water, but depends on gravity to force water to flow through its channels. - Parthian Period( 300 B.C. - 300 A.D. ) RAK was part of Julanda, a confederation of Arab kings - Julfar Period (1300 - 1899) A major settlement based around pearl diving and fishing 🐟emerged in Jazirat al Hamra. - Modern Period (1900 – Present) Julfar was abandoned and Ras Al Khaimah became the name of the emirates and main town And there is more to see and know in the museum itself
