In this story, Bruce discovers that he has a biological son while taking Damian under his wing to become the next Robin. According to Gunn and Safran, there will potentially be other members of the Bat-Family, although no specific ones have been confirmed yet. If Ackles were to get cast as Batman, it would be a major deal for the DC Universe, as it would get another big established actor into the franchise. Whether or not Gunn and Safran are paying attention to his fan casting remains to be seen, but they are most likely aware of it to some degree.
